A Logo is Just the Start…the Experience is Everything.

Something about me…I am a total SUCKER for something eye catching.  Beautiful packaging, well-designed spaces, a great outfit, and probably goes without saying… show-stopping branding and websites.  I know we aren't supposed to judge books by their covers, but if I'm being honest, I break this rule All. The. Time.  

I am impressionable, and when I see something that is well put together, I tend to be more curious and willing to invest my time and money in it. Gorgeous restaurant?  Get me that reservation.  Boutique hotel that just looks so amazing.  I must stay.  Gorgeous packaging?  I'll take one of each.  My husband calls this my champagne taste, but I know it's more than that.  Chances are…whatever is catching my eye was VERY intentionally put together by someone (or a whole team of someones).  Not only was their plan strategic, but they also have me pegged as their target audience.  They know that I (and a lot of other people like me) are going to love what they see.

But here's the thing…its really what happens next that makes this a forever YES or a NEVER again.  I've been pulled in by the logo, the packaging, the aesthetic, the design, the book cover (yep), but THEN what?  

This is when the experience unfolds for me as a consumer.  

Sure, the thing that drew me in still stands strong, but it's how I feel both entering and exiting this experience that solidifies my buy-in.  How am I treated?  How seamless/enjoyable/refreshing/impactful/useful is my experience?  Are my senses satisfied?  Are my needs or hopes met?  

At Golden, we spend a lot of time working on creating beautiful logos, websites, and content so that our clients can take that first VERY important step in attracting their dream customers with eye-catching assets.  You will never find us just slapping on logos, whipping up websites, or writing cookie cutter shot lists for photoshoots.
